Dr. Alanna Larter

Some of Dr. Alanna’s earliest memories of the dental office are picking through the treasure box on her way out. Those small rewards made the visit feel special, though she had no idea at the time that dentistry would one day become her life’s work.

While studying for her undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta, specializing in Pharmacology, she developed a deep appreciation for the connection between oral health and systemic health, and knew she'd found her path. Dr. Alanna went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.

Today she loves the beautiful versatility of dentistry, with a special passion for oral surgery and restorative work. What brings her the greatest joy, though, is helping her patients truly understand their oral health so they can take an active, confident role in caring for it. She has a natural gift for putting anxious or uneasy patients at ease, meeting them with patience, warmth, and a calm presence that makes them feel safe and heard.

When she’s not in the office, you’ll usually find Dr. Alanna outdoors. Summers are spent on the water in Kelowna, where she’s enthusiastically working on her wake-surfing skills. In the winter she heads to the mountains to ski. She’s always on the hunt for the next great restaurant to try and is a devoted dog lover who lights up at the sight of any four-legged friend.

Dr. Alanna brings the same care, curiosity, and genuine warmth to her practice that she brings to every other part of her life. She would love the opportunity to help you feel comfortable throughout your dental care and work toward achieving your smile goals.
