Digital X-Rays At Your New Westminster Dental Clinic

Our digital x-ray system is a modern method of taking x-rays.

Digital x-rays produce up to 90% less radiation compared to film-based X-ray procedures used in the past.

The conventional way to take x-rays took 5 to 10 minutes to develop, as well as time to re-position the camera. Digital x-rays take only seconds to appear on the computer screen. This makes it very easy to magnify the picture and to show you, the patient, exactly what we are seeing. We are also able to store the images on the computer, thus minimizing the need to retake x-rays.

3D Guided Implant Placement

3-D guided dental implant placement is a system we use to ensure optimal placement of dental implant. Without this, dentists have to estimate the placement of dental implants based on educated guesses of the locations of remaining tooth roots and the contour of the gums and jawbone.

This 3-D precision technology removes all guesswork from the procedure by leveraging a 3-D image of the skull and performing a “virtual surgery” using trial placements. Once the system determines the ideal placement a surgical guide template is created by our 3-D printer. We then use this guide yo hold implants in place during the surgery to ensure optimal placement.

Platelet-Rich Fibrin Therapy

Advanced PRF ( Platelet Rich Fibrin ) therapy helps accelerate healing during surgical procedures like bone/gum grafts, wisdom tooth removal, and dental implant placement.

We apply this therapy by creating a fibrin matrix using the patient’s own blood. This ensures acceptance of the PRF and is proven to increase healing times and improve bone and gum healing.
